Zeitung Magazine’s sixth issue 01H 43M 57S shifts its gaze towards musical practice. With carefully selected writers and photographers, as well as a global range of contemporary musical artists, a collection of editorials offers insights into personal backgrounds, work practices, domestic spaces, and travels.

Opening the issue with insights into VISCOSE JOURNAL’S music issue as our printed matter in printed matter, STEPHAN GILGENREINER shared his thoughts on the new underground in music. Photographed by LUKAS GANSTERER, Zeitung followed BABA STILTZ into the small streets and undergrounds of Tokyo. In the countryside of Vancouver, HALLE JEAN MARCH shot SOPHIA STEL close to her hometown on a rainy, stormy day. Before his live performance in Berlin, 454 got dressed in Supreme and was shot by DANIEL VAYSBERG. Next to an extensive conversation with Zeitung, HANIA RANI spent a day in London with STUART NIMMO, whereas MARIE-LOUISE BAUMSCHLAGER met Anna Francesca, aka BEAKS, in her recording studio in Vienna. Right after a live show during his UK tour, Zeitung video-called MARK WILLIAM LEWIS to chat about songwriting and listening experiences. In Paris, JULES LÈ VAN NHUONG photographed CRYSTAL MURRAY on a cloudy Sunday afternoon. WET and SYDENHAM HIGH ROAD sent us postcards from all over the world, whereas MIKE MIDNIGHT was photographed on tour by JENTE WAERZEGGERS. Next to a story of YDEGIRL in her butler days and shot by IRIS LUZ, Zeitung elaborated on the depths of feelings behind Copenhagen-based music. Taking up the conversation about cities, an insight into CAMILLE KELLER’s practice and Belgian musical influence can be read alongside images of him shot by ARIANE KIKS. In Los Angeles, YUDO KURITA photographed BECKY AND THE BIRDS in her studio, and in Milan, PIOTR NIEPSUJ captured DJ PYTHON. Further in Italy, LUNA.CORP supports young artists and creates an open space of accessibility and inclusion. In Paris, there was a great show at Balice Hertling with works by KAYODE OJO—Zeitung took the opportunity to share it with FLORENCE SINCLAIR, as they wore some archive fashion pieces combined with CARHARTT WIP and photographed by MORITZ TIBES. Talking all things culture, advertising, and fashion, KATHARINA KORBJHUN had a bite at FOOD while being captured by PARKER WOORDS, right after she herself shot some images of DEV HYNES, aka Blood Orange, during his Essex Honey Tour. In Seoul, Sungwoo Choi had an extensive conversation with BALMING TIGER after hanging out with them together with photographer HONG SOHYUN. A bit further away in Tokyo, SILICA GEL met Zeitung before their soundcheck to take a walk together with YUSUKE YAMATANI.
